Karsten tube test hydrofuge
General
This method is described in the international regulations of the RILEM 25 PEM (22) and consists in measuring the amount of water, which can penetrate into the subsurface through the treated surface depending on time. The water pressure on the surface is determined by the height (98 mm) of the water level in the pipe used and corresponds to a wind force at a wind speed of about 40 m/s (140 km/h), perpendicular to the measuring surface.
