KARSTEN TUBE TEST

This method is described in the international regulations of the RILEM 25 PEM (22) and consists of measuring the amount of water that, depending on the time, can penetrate the treated surface into the substrate. The surface water pressure is determined by the height (98 mm) of the water level in the pipe used and corresponds to a wind force at a wind speed of approximately 40 m/s (140 km/h), perpendicular to the measuring surface.
