House De Veronycke Bruges

The magnificent facade of the historic house De Veronycke, located in the Korte Vuldersstraat, has undergone an impressive renovation thanks to the craftsmen of A.Vandendorpe. This striking building, built around 1580, features charming sculptural works above the windows and has now regained its former glory.

A challenging part of the restoration was restoring the natural stone block frames around the windows. These were expertly repaired with Saint Astier's natural stone repair mortar St.One, color Chauvigny coarse (St.One 17). In places where larger and deeper damages were present, a layer with RC 730 Concrete Rep was first applied. This base layer provided additional stability and a solid substrate for further finishing with the St.One mortar.
