Town hall Oudsbergen

Description

The old town hall of Opglabbeek (in 2019, Meeuwen-Gruitrode and Opglabbeek will merge to become Oudsbergen) was thoroughly restored on both the inside and outside by Janssen Brothers & Stargyp.

Inside, the walls were injected against rising damp using RC 310 ECO. In addition, all cracks and cavities in the unstable walls were filled with RC PU Inject so that a firm substrate was obtained.

On the outside, the walls were completely stripped of the old plaster and re-plastered using a proprietary mixture of natural hydraulic lime from St. Astier NHL 3.5 with sand. This is a unique product that is the only one to have a cement release certificate for natural hydraulic lime. RC Acryplast was also used to make the mortar smoother. All the molds were also renewed in this way.
