A sparkling clean patio without scrubbing

After winter, the patio or garden path often looks dirty and unkempt. Rain and cold cause a green veil of algae and moss to form between the joints. Spring is therefore the perfect time to give your terrace or garden path a thorough overhaul.

Cleaning your patio or garden path can be a labor-intensive job, so use a universal cleaning product, RC OS 2 or a moss killer, RC Kilgreen.

How do we proceed?

First, remove all garden furniture, pots and/or decorative items from the patio.

Apply RC OS 2 or RC Kilgreen undiluted to a dry or slightly damp surface with a low-pressure backing sprayer and allow the product to act for at least 24h.

After a few days, the result is already visible and one can easily have the product and dirt washed away by rain. If no rain is forecast for the days after application, you can always rinse the patio or walkway with the garden hose.

For stubborn dirt, you can also choose to clean the surface in combination with a pressure washer. Keep in mind that high-pressure cleaning can cause damage to the surface.

When cleaning surfaces made of bluestone or bluestone, temporary darkening may occur. Therefore, clean the entire surface with the same product to avoid having color differences. This darkening will gradually disappear again.

‍Whatis the difference between a universal cleaner and a moss killer?

A universal cleaning product such as RC OS 2 is a ready-to-use product for intensive cleaning of all types of exterior surfaces. Due to its specific cleaning properties, the product penetrates deep into the substrate and promotes the detachment of material foreign matter. By adding a soap component that soaks into the surface, such as wood, automatic cleaning will occur as long as it remains present.

In addition, a moss killer such as RC Kilgreen is a very powerful defoamer for controlling mosses, short mosses, algae and mold, among others, on all exterior surfaces. Due to its unique composition, this product has a self-cleaning and lasting effect deep into the pores of the substrate, which means the moss infestation is controlled for longer.
