In 1765, St Geertrude's Abbey in Leuven founded the rectory of Our Lady of Tielt. It consisted of a main building and a gatehouse. In 2019 and 2020, this rectory received a total makeover during restoration work, before being used by the municipality.

On the outside, the brickwork and ironstone were restored using Saint-Astier's natural hydraulic lime(NHL 3.5). In addition, the façade was repointed with our RC Astivo and rendered with our cement-free RC Kalei. Natural stone repairs were carried out using our RC Amonit.
