RC KALEI is a kalei mortar based on natural hydraulic lime (NHL 3.5) from St. Astier and mineral fillers. It is in itself a thin mortar layer (2 - 4 mm) that gives a protective traditional structure to bricks and natural stone. RC KALEI contains no cement and is therefore the best approximation to the centuries-old technique for the authentic finishing of outer walls.

In humid weather, the kalei exhibits the famous "cloud formation" and leaves the structure of the masonry visible. The correct dosage of lime and an ideal choice and structure of the fillers' granulometry give RC KALEI excellent properties for use in façade restoration.
